I joined the Metro Detroit Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute in 2008. CSI is a national association dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery. The organization is unique in the industry in that its members are a cross section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors and building materials suppliers. I met some really great people and rekindled several old relationships as a member.
I earned my Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification in September 2008. I served on the Board of Directors from 2009-2013. I served three terms as Chapter Treasurer (fiscal year 2010-2013.)
I have been a member of Toastmasters since February 2008, and a member of the Fenton Area Toastmasters since January 4, 2013. Many authors recommend public speaking courses as a very important key to success. Visitors are encouraged and warmly welcomed! Click the logo to find a Chapter near you. Check it out once.
